TESTIMONIALS
I have to say that this has been an AMAZING class and that Keisha has not only introduced us to great Jamaican food but also an amazing Jamaican vibe. It’s been FANTASTIC.

Classic Jamaican main dishes, sides, and desserts - the Jerk Chicken is to die for! I loved the Jamaican culture and patois, the local lingo, that were mixed into the class. Truly a delightful experience!

David S.
Thank you so much Keisha for this amazing opportunity to join your first ever cooking class.
I loved you gave a background story to the reason for the recipes that you choose, the hands on connection even over Zoom was amazing and great to see everyone else in their own kitchen.
Your pace was easy to keep up with and ability to answer all our questions as we went along was encouraging and helpful.

Mike T.
My experience with being a part of this cooking class was absolutely one of a kind. The attention to detail, the playlist, the spice list, the knowledge about why we use this ingredient versus another was so good. It's not just a cooking class I truly learned a lot. Let's talk about the flavors for a second...I have now become an expert at cooking certain dishes, and now I know how to get the same flavors each time. Thank you DineoutIn for a one-of-a-kind experience. I will be back for more!!!

TESTIMONIALS
What a privilege it has been to learn Jamaican cooking from you. I am so grateful for the opportunity. I loved everything about the class. I truly enjoyed learning about the culinary history of Jamaica and the influences of other cultures on the food. You made the class interactive and fun! At the beginning, I was worried that I would not be able to follow along with the class over ZOOM, but you made the online format work so well!
I feel like I have learned so much! From the three most important ingredients of Jamaican cuisine (thyme, scallion, and onion) to how to taste your marinade before adding it to your other ingredients, to how to handle the scotch bonnet, you taught us so much! Now I understand the cultural history of Jamaica and how it has influenced the food.

Brisa K.
First of all I absolutely loved this class. As someone who came into the class with a knowledge of Jamaican food I LOVED how you incorporated your personal stories as well as background on our culture. It is always more than just the food and this was really more an experience, a true taste of Jamaica that transcended the cuisine.
I appreciated how in this class, I learned to use traditional Jamaican spices in different ways. I especially loved learning how certain things (for example, sugar and cinnamon) enhance savory cuisine. I actually used the jerk recipe as a base for salmon yesterday and it was amazing! This was truly the taste of home I needed. Thanks for being a great teacher and chef.

Q: I know it’s a virtual class, but I’m really camera-shy.
A: The classes simulate in-person classes as closely as possible and are conducted via Zoom, which allows you to turn the camera on, see each other, and chat with the chef. If you aren’t comfortable being on camera, no biggie! Keep your camera off and your mic muted, and sit back and enjoy the show. You can also type questions in the chat box for us to answer. We encourage you to push past the fear, though; the best bits of the class occur when class members engage and connect. Keeping your camera on will help facilitate that.
Q: I already know how to cook.
A: That's great! We offer more of an experience. We are technique-based, not recipe-based. We welcome all skill levels. From children and young adults to advanced home cooks and even professionally trained chefs, we guarantee that every skill level will walk away with something new, big or small!
Q: Where can I find the equipment and ingredients the chefs always use?
A: In our Amazon store! Every tool and ingredient we use in class is available for sale in our Amazon store.
Q: Where are the Virtual Classes Conducted?
A: Our Virtual Classes are conducted live on Zoom in our kitchen in Austin TX.

A: Each event has its own video conferencing requirements, some are designed to only run on Zoom while others can accommodate Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, it's all down to the specific event you're interested in, you'll be able to find that on each listing under the How to Join section.
